In this difficult economic environment, our environmental resources are more at risk of degradation than in better times. Technology advances in an effort to find more cost efficient solutions. Some of the “new solutions” create new forms of pollution, or they create more of the same kinds of past pollution.  There are new technologies that can achieve the twin goals of maximizing profit and at the same time be even more protective of our environment.
